As a chaplain, he has encouraged his men that "With God, all things are possible--even in war" One of the more memorable events from his deployments was having embedded Fox News Reporter Geraldo Rivera assigned to his Humvee during the attack on Baghdad. Mike is proud of the men and women who have sacrificed so much for their country.

As an acclaimed young classical pianist with a promising career ahead of him, Russell Williams chose to put those plans on hold in order to serve his country in the United States Navy. He has been active in the war on terror serving as an engineer aboard Nuclear Submarines. Russell says he has been challenged daily by the sacrifice and commitment of all those he is privileged to serve with.
